We regenerate the Mediterranean maquis, one meter at a time.
Today, for VAIA, regenerating means starting again from Puglia, from its Mediterranean maquis, from biodiversity, and from a new yet ancient balance.

In Puglia, Xylella has affected millions of trees.
Over 20 million olive trees have been compromised since 2013, profoundly changing the landscape and the balance of the ecosystem. An impact that goes beyond agriculture: it concerns biodiversity, soil, territory, and the identity of millions of people.
For years we have been thinking about how to bring VAIA’s regenerative model to Puglia. We listened to farmers, scientists, institutions, and ordinary people to understand together how to respond. Not to replace what has been lost, but to grow something new, to give space back to nature and value back to the territory.
An innovative material, created by combining what seemed like waste—the olive trees affected by Xylella—with bio-based polymers. A union between tradition and innovation, between identity and research.
This is where OLIVE MATTER was born, the material at the base of a new range of VAIA products.
